Liberty
Liberty is inherent and must be optimized
- American survey - optional weekly survey of Americans' liberty
- Constitution - update outdated language to ensure the next 200 years
- Federal - must ensure individual liberties outlined in the constitution
- States - "laboratories of democracy" to further individual liberty
Justice
Justice is the foundation of preserving liberty
- Presidential Service Corp - make service to country/ community a bedrock
- Judges - diversity of thought on social, fiscal, liberal, and conservative issues
- Bail/ bond reform - restore commitment to "innocent until proven guilty"
- Alternatives to incarceration - make better communities, not bigger prisons
- Mental health/ drug treatment - you can't mandate recovery
- Record expungement - mistakes at 16 shouldn't haunt you at 50
Safety
That which is Just must be made safe
- Foreign policy - make trade, not war
- Trade - use tariffs sparingly
- Immigration - keep out bad guys, not immigrants
- Defense- measure liberty and peace, not metric tons of TNT
- Cyber - prevent the future of warfare; ensure affordable internet access
Equity
Greater liberty results when equity is achieved
- Healthcare - you own your medical information (constitutional amendment)
- Social security - make social security an asset, not a liability
- Taxes - incentivize equity without vilifying prosperity (e.g. FairTax, UBI)
- Pandemics - build pandemic planning into our systems proactively
